Continuity Fixtures:

Continuity fixtures are used to facilitate continuity testing of wiring harnesses. The fixtures act as mating connectors when performing the electrical test. Spring probe (pogo pin) design allows for quick connect and release by the operator reducing cycle time and operator fatigue. Durable polyurethane material and spring probe design reduce maintenance time as the life of the fixtures and probes dwarf that of mating connectors and mating terminals. Each spring probe has 12” of lead wire for interfacing with your test equipment and damaged probes are easily replaced to reduce downtime.

Error elimination is enhanced because the fixtures are keyed to require the correct orientation of the connector. Presence detection features can be added to insure inclusion of locks, clips and other connector and wire harness components. Locking features can also be incorporated to prevent the operator from removing a bad harness from the build board or test station. In a similar fashion, a scribe or marking feature can be incorporated to mark a connector indicating that the assembly has passed the continuity test.
